Kyoteh is the collaboration between multi-instrumentalists, producers, and composers Sylvain Carton (Gaby Moreno, Beats Antique, Shpongle, Aly and AJ, Japonize Elephants, John Vanderslice...) and Mathias Kunzli (Regina Spektor, Yo-Yo Ma, Lauryn Hill, John Zorn, Moby, Brooklyn Rider...). Kyoteh's music aspires to be as limitless as possible, conjuring up vivid imagery through cinematic soundscapes, dense beats, unorthodox horn arrangements, whistling, foreign sonic elements, field recordings, and a healthy portion of "we don't know what to call it.” With Sylvain covering all manners of woodwinds, guitars, mandolins, pianos, and Mathias handling the drum/percussion/whistling world, a rich tapestry of sonic expression comes together under the roof of their debut album, "One Run."
